Jne' is the owner of B&G Studio Designs, a full-service faux-finishing, mural and fine art studio based in Northern Virginia. Jne' grew up in Maryland and graduated from American University with a BA in International Studies. Interested in technology, Jne' also earned her certification as a systems engineer in 2002. Jne' always pursued art as a hobby on the side, creating her own daughter's room into a world of painted imagination and fantasy.
Early on, Jne' also did murals for her friend's children, charging only for supplies. While friends encouraged her to pursue her passion as a business, Jne' never imagined turning her art into a career.
While searching for a job in the tech world, Jne' stumbled upon a job as an artist and faux finisher. What was thought to be temporary soon turned into a true passion. Jne' started her own company, B&G Studio Designs in 2003 and traveled to study with many masters to learn plastering, wood graining, marblizing and gold leafing. In Italy, she studied design and learned the old traditions of al fresco painting. As a subcontractor, Jne' traveled the country to do the faux finishing, marblizing and tromp l'oeil ornament painting for the White House Black Market stores.
She has also worked in many recognizable high-end commercial spaces and for high-profile residential clientele. B&G Studio Designs also contracted some large-scale commercial children's mural projects, such as The Kidz Drop Zone and Union Mill Pediatrics. Currently, Jne' is branching out into graphic art, web design and fine art. Further information may be found on her website, www.bgStudioDesigns.com.
